  1. Hello Penny,

I am a 3rd year student at the University of Wolverhampton, studying Animal Behaviour and Wildlife Conservation and recently read the article, “Are Britain’s cities buzzing?”, in BBC Wildlife’s spring edition. I was particularly interested by it as I want to do my honours project on Bumblebees, as they are an important and relevant ecological topic in the UK and all over the world. I was also interested in it as I live in South London, not far from Peckham, where you carry out your species recording.

In light of this, I was wondering if there was any advice that you could give me or any opportunities to assist/shadow you in any future work, bumblebee related or otherwise?

Thank you very much, I look forward to hearing from you.

    Kind regards,

    Chantelle Lindsay

    • Hi Chantelle
You are welcome to come out surveying with me! I am currently surveying 2 sites: Warwick Gardens, and Greendale, just up the road in East Dulwich. I would be happy for you to come along – anytime after the 18th August. Let me know what day is good for you. I look forward to meeting you.
      Penny
